Boise is buzzing about the next Food Truck Rally this Thursday. For one evening, the vacant lot located where 4th dead ends at Grove Street in Downtown Boise, six food trucks/trailers will round up to vend their vittles and Payette Brewing Co. will be there selling some of their finest beer. Top that off with live entertainment from some of Boise’s finest musicians!
The weatherman says the elements will be bringing cold and possibly wet conditions, so be sure to bring your jackets and join the fun! Happy hour runs from 5-6pm – come early and check out all the food and beer specials! Along with the regular menu, Archie’s Place will be featuring Archie’s nachos and a “Cubano” style grilled cheese sandwich. Soups will be Butternut Squash w/ bleu cheese and bacon garnish, and Jalapeno Cheddar. Hot spiced cider will also be available to warm your fingers!
This is the second food truck rally at this location – the rally last month (First Thursday in September) was a great success!! And if some of you remember, this will be the third food truck gathering in Downtown Boise this year! The first was during First Thursday festivities in June when we held the grand opening for Archie’s Place – the “Grand Opening aka Boise’s First Food Truck Roundup!” which was also a wild success given the chilly and windy evening.
The Food Truck Rally organizers now have a Facebook page and are planning to organize a monthly rally (NOTE: not always on a First Thursday) to fortify the new local food truck culture! So keep in touch and be sure to patronize your local food truck!
